Lariam يحتوي على ميفلوكوين 250 مجم، وهو دواء مضاد للملاريا يُصرف بوصفة طبية، وليس مضادًا حيويًا. يُستخدم للعلاج أو الوقاية من الملاريا في حالات ومناطق محددة وفق تقييم الطبيب وإرشادات السفر ومقاومة الطفيليات.

المادة الفعالة

ميفلوكوين (Mefloquine) 250 مجم لكل قرص.

طريقة الاستخدام

تختلف الجرعة حسب الغرض من الاستخدام والوزن والوجهة ونمط المقاومة؛ لذلك يحددها الطبيب فقط. تُبلع الأقراص بعد الطعام مع كمية كافية من الماء. لا تبدأ الدواء أو توقفه أو تغيّر جرعته دون مراجعة مختص.

تحذيرات مهمة

  • قد يسبب الميفلوكوين آثارًا نفسية أو عصبية خطيرة قد تستمر بعد إيقافه، مثل القلق الشديد، الاكتئاب، الارتباك، الهلاوس، الدوار أو اضطراب الاتزان.
  • لا يُستخدم للوقاية لدى من لديهم اكتئاب حالي أو سابق، اضطرابات نفسية كبرى، قلق عام، ذهان، أفكار أو محاولات انتحار، فصام، أو تاريخ من التشنجات.
  • إذا ظهرت أعراض نفسية أو عصبية أثناء الوقاية، أوقف الدواء واطلب تقييمًا طبيًا عاجلًا لاختيار بديل مناسب.
  • أخبر الطبيب عن أمراض القلب أو الكبد وعن جميع الأدوية المستخدمة؛ توجد تداخلات مهمة مع بعض أدوية الملاريا والأدوية المؤثرة في نظم القلب.
  • الحمل والرضاعة يتطلبان تقييم الطبيب والرجوع إلى إرشادات السفر والعلاج الحديثة.
