What Is Trulicity 1.5 mg?

Trulicity is contraindicated in patients with a personal or family history of MTC and in those with Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2). Patients should be counselled about the risk and the symptoms of thyroid tumours, such as a neck mass, difficulty swallowing, breathlessness, or persistent hoarseness.

How to Administer Trulicity

Inject Trulicity subcutaneously into the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm, rotating sites each week. The pen is ready to use — no mixing or dose measuring is needed. Allow it to reach room temperature if preferred, remove the base cap, place the flat, clear end against the skin, and press the button; hold until the click signals the dose is complete. Missed Dose

If you miss a dose, inject it as soon as possible if there are at least 3 days (72 hours) until your next scheduled dose. If less than 3 days remain, skip the missed dose and take the next one on your regular day. Do not take two doses within 3 days of each other. You may also change your usual injection day as long as the last dose was at least 3 days earlier.

Overdose

Overdose may cause severe nausea, vomiting, and low blood sugar (hypoglycaemia). Storage Conditions

Store Trulicity in a refrigerator at 2°C to 8°C, in the original carton to protect it from light; do not freeze, and do not use if it has been frozen. Keep it out of the reach and sight of children, and do not use after the expiry date or if the solution is cloudy or discoloured.

Contraindications
